• Historically, Chaparral consistently ranked in the lower percentile in overall attendance within the district. Our data revealed staggering statistics, with 30% to 40% of our scholars missing 18 or more days of school over the past three years. Chronic absenteeism significantly impacts student learning, leading to gaps in knowledge and skills, lower academic performance, and decreased engagement. Addressing this issue is crucial for improving our students' educational outcomes. By focusing on our theme, "Level Up Your A Game," we are implementing targeted strategies to improve attendance, such as increased family engagement, personalized support for students, and recognition programs to celebrate regular attendance. Our goal is to ensure every scholar has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
