Non-Discrimination Policies
The ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ prohibits discrimination, intimidation, harassment (including sexual harassment) or bullying based on a person’s actual or perceived ancestry, color, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender expression, gender identity, immigration status, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. For questions or complaints, contact Equity Compliance Officer: Craig Baker, Senior Executive Director, Student Services at 9680 Citrus Avenue, Fontana CA 92335, (909) 357-5000, EXT 29194, TitleIX@fusd.net and Title IX Coordinator: Caroline Labonte, Director, Certificated Human Resources, at 9680 Citrus Avenue, Fontana CA 92335, (909) 357-5000, EXT 29045, TitleIX@fusd.net.
The ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ prohibits, at any district school or school activity, unlawful discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), intimidation, and bullying of any student or employee based on the above. The ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ has the responsibility to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations governing education programs. The district shall investigate any complaint alleging failure to comply with such laws and/or alleging unlawful discrimination, and shall seek to resolve those complaints in accordance with the district’s uniform complaint procedures.
The early informal resolution of complaints at the site level is encouraged whenever possible.
Once you have sought resolution with those directly involved and a resolution is not reached, there are 3 main categories of complaints for the next step: If unsure of your category, a General Complaint is an appropriate start since it can be adjusted to another type as needed.

Sex Discrimination
The ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ is committed to providing educational programs that are free from unlawful discrimination based on legally protected characteristics, including sex and gender as required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The District’s general nondiscrimination/harassment policy is found at: For more information regarding the definition of sex discrimination and student rights, please click the Title IX link.
Sexual Harassment
Sexual Harassment is not tolerated in the programs operated by the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥. A written policy regarding sexual harassment is available at your child’s school and is a part of any orientation for new students and is posted and distributed to all employees. Education Code limits disciplinary sanctions for sexual harassment as to students in grades K-3, but does not exclude students enrolled in grades K-3 from the protection of the District’s sexual harassment policy and complaint procedures.
General
A General Complaint is one that does not fit into either of the other categories. This form is used following a discussion with the site manager or principal that does not lead to a resolution. Once a general complaint is filed, it can be moved to either of the other categories if it is appropriate.

Title IX
A Title IX complaint concerns discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that are federally funded. School-sponsored athletics and off campus activities are among the areas addressed by Title IX.
Due to recent changes in the Title IX Regulations effective August 14 2020, all related District policies and procedures are being reviewed and updated to ensure compliance. Please direct concerns and allegations regarding sexual harassment to the Title IX Coordinator listed below.
If you believe you have experienced discrimination, bullying, or harassment, immediately contact the school principal and/or the appropriate district administrator:
