What is Dual Enrollment?
The Dual Enrollment program is a partnership between the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ and Chaffey College that allows high school students to concurrently enroll in college level courses while pursuing their high school diploma.
By participating in this program, Kaiser High School students will have the opportunity to take independent study college level courses, and if successful, earn transferable credits all before graduating high school.
Minimum Requirements-
3.0 GPA

The ability to manage their time after school, especially if participating in extra-curricular activities.

No D’s or F’s in current gradebook, or the previous semester coursework.

Primarily A’s and B’s in current gradebook, and the previous semester coursework.
Things to Consider

Course grades appear on your college transcript.

Chaffey transcript must be submitted to all future institutions.

D’s or F’s will always remain on the college transcript, even if courses are remediated.

D’s or F’s remain on college transcripts even if the courses are retaken.

Courses finished with a passing grade cannot be retaken for a higher GPA.

Dual Enrollment is not mandatory for college admissions, and low grades could impact graduate school applications in the future.

Will these college level courses count as an extra grade point like an AP courses?
Yes! Since you are taking a college level course in a shorter amount of time, in high school, you are eligible for an extra grade point for any credit earned in your Dual Enrollment courses.

How many classes can I take?
Up to 11 units (3 classes) each semester (Fall, Spring, & Summer). However, it should be noted that it is not recommended that you max out on units each semester due to the difficulty of the courses.
