In order to take advantage of the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship, you must apply to one of the approved NROTC colleges and universities.
National Scholarship benefits include full tuition at one of the approved colleges or universities, all mandatory fees imposed by the school on a full-time undergraduate student, stipend for books, provided uniforms, three summer cruises, and a monthly subsistence allowance.

The purpose of the Navy ROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps, and the Marine Corps. Selected applicants for teh Navy ROTC Scholarship Program are awarded scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process, and receive full tuition, books stipend, educational fees, and other financial benefits at many of the country's leading colleges and universities. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as officers in the unrestricted line Naval Reserve or the Marine Corps Reserve.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP?
To be eligible for CMP scholarships, junior shooters must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Be of good moral character.
- Be a graduating high school senior.
- Demonstrate acceptance to a university, college or trade school leading to a diploma or trade certification.
- Demonstrate marksmanship competition experience.

Award: $180,000 towards a four-year institution's tuition and expenses
Eligibility: High school seniors (juniors are encouraged to start preparing early to meet the requirements fo rthe next year) with:
-Minimum combined SAT score of 1100
-Minimum combined ACT score of 44
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or in the process of obtaining citizenship
- No criminal record of military or civilian offenses
- No previous drug use

1. Active JROTC Cadet (Any Sea Service)
2. Classified as a High School Senior
3. GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
4. Unit Senior Naval Science Instructor Recommendation

1. High School Transcript (Official or Unofficial)
2. Unit Senior Naval Science Instructor Letter of Recommendation (Signed)
3. EssayPrepare a one-page essay responding to the following question: What are your goals and how would this scholarship help you achieve those goals? (Essay must be in APA format, no more than one page, and must be the applicant’s original work. Applicant may not receive advice, edits, reviews, suggestions or assistance on the essay)
