• North Tamarind Elementary School Receives a Special Visit

Students with the U.S. Marine Corps

The U. S. Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment took time to visit the students from North Tamarind Elementary School.

The Battle Color Detachment is attached to Marine Barracks in Washington, DC, which is also known as the “Oldest Post of the Corps.” They are on a west coast tour and made time to do a small demonstration for the 4th grade students of North Tamarind.

The Color Sergeant of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Francis Frazier shared some of his amazing experiences with our students, especially because he is the carrier of our national flag.

The students were impressed most by the Silent Drill Platoon and the Marine Bugle Corp’s demonstration.
